On the distribution front, Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) 3D printer manufacturer Xact Metal has become one of many in the sector to broaden its reseller network. Metal and carbon fiber 3D printer manufacturer Markforged has also completed the acquisition of binder jetting specialist Digital Metal. Under its new ‘UltiMaker’ brand, the combined company plans to invest in accelerating growth and driving product innovation via R&D, and strengthening its presence across the Americas, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific through market expansions.
